Jeff Hubbard has won the 2009 IBA Tour World Championship! He clinched it today at the EL CONFITAL GRAN CANARIA IBA event. As many of you know, his brother Dave won the DK World Championship at the last event as well. Congratulations to the Hubbards!  Last weekend, Keila Grodzen, Lisa Pena and other Madrid riders enjoyed a sick day of fun surf in San Clemente. The conditions were awesome with a small sized swell, perfect medium-high tide, sun and no wind. |

After 14 days of waiting, Praia do Norte didn’t dissapoint the expectations of the more than one thousand people that went to the beach to watch the Fourth Edition of Sumol Nazaré Special Edition.
Mike Stewart was the big winner of this edition, in a podium where the international presences had eminence. When asked about the win, Mike Stewart said he was “surprised, and at the same time, happy for winning this contest in my first time competing”. The Brazilian José Otávio won second place. “I’m very happy for second place in a contest with such a high level”, he said. Third place was given to Jaime Jesus, considered the best Portuguese in the contest. After some concern from some of the athletes due to the initial contest condition forecast, the stormy waves of the day before were replaced by a sunny day that allowed for an excellent show of air maneuvers, huge drops and even some impossible tubes.
